The University’s Institute for Sustainable Energy is holding three courses to train installers and engineers in solar heating and solar photovoltaic (PV) system installations.

Participants who obtain at least Grade B (70 per cent) will be certified to practise solar installation for five years. Their names will also be placed on the Malta Resources Authority (MRA) website.

The PV courses are being organised jointly with the Faculty of Engineering’s Department of Industrial Power Conversion. They are accredited by the University and have been endorsed by the MRA.

Subject to sufficient demand, the lectures will also be broadcast live via video conferencing to the University’s Gozo campus, for participants working there.

The courses start on October 2. Lectures will be held twice a week from 3 to 5pm. Registration closes on September 5. Places are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
