Easisave products launch

Fimbank has launched its Easisave US dollar savings account and fixed term deposits. These new Easisave products enable customers to open online savings accounts and fixed term deposits in dollars for fixed periods of between three months and three years, with competitive interest rates going up to 2.85 per cent per annum.

The savings account allows customers instant access to their money, while the fixed term deposits offer the assurance that the full principal will be returned at the end of the term, together with the interest accrued. The minimum deposit requirement is $1,000 or €1,000.

Go winner gets Alfa MiTo

Paul Debrincat from Munxar has won an Alfa Romeo MiTo in Go’s Score a MiTo competition.

The SMS trivia competition ran throughout the World Cup, asking participants daily questions about local personalities in relation to football, music, art and literature. The competition had other prizes on offer including Samsung TVs and a daily prize of a €300 shopping voucher from The Point Shopping Mall.

Among the daily winners who collected a total of €9,300 in The Point shopping vouchers were Malcolm Fenech, Miguel Ceci, Debbie Wareing, Michael Gauci, Alfred Gauci and Daniel Zammit. The TVs were won by Sarah Craig, Michelle Vella and Daniel Zammit.

World Travel Awards votes Westin Malta’s top resort

The Westin Dragonara Resort has been named Malta’s Leading Resort by the World Travel Awards for Europe.

In 2013, over 500,000 individual votes were cast by travel professionals and high-end tourism consumers.

Michael Kamsky, general manager of the Westin Dragonara Resort, thanked all the resort’s patrons for their continuous support throughout the years.

“We are delighted to have received this award which we achieved as a result of the hard work and dedication of all the hotel’s staff. For this I would like to express my gratitude,” he said.
