CCTV has captured the moment a car crashed into a parked vehicle in Lija yesterday, and did not stop.

The owner of the parked car said she parked at 8.30 in Annibale Preca Street in Lija. The video shows the 'hit and run' happened at 8.53.

The owner said an eyewitness had given her the number of the car which drove on - a white/ish Rover saloon. A police report was filed. 

The owner regretted that the police told her they could not go to the scene  and she had to go to the police station. She also regretted that they could not immediately give her information on the car's owner, for data protection reasons, but requested the CCTV footage.
