Paul Bugeja, former president of the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association,  has been appointed CEO of the Malta Tourism Authroity, succeeding Josef Formosa Gauci, who has resigned.

The MTA Board unanimously approved his appointment today. 

Tourism Minister Edward Zammit Lewis welcomed the appointment, saying Mr Bugeja enjoyed the confidence of the tourism industry.

Mr Bugeja has held senior positions within the Corinthia Group for the past 35 years.  In recent years he was director in the group’s Hotel Monitoring Board.
