Attard residents yesterday objected to a development application in the area for 91 plots, each having three floors plus semi-basement and a penthouse.

The proposal is based on land that is a strategic gap between development zones and close to an area of ecological importance. The plan is also based on 4,600 square metres of land not allocated for development.

Malta Developers Association president Sandro Chetcuti is one of 18 plot owners forming Prince Properties et al, on whose name the application is being filed.

Mepa was set to be hearing the case today.
