The row of trees at Bastion Street, Senglea, are so healthy that from one season to another they overgrow in such a way that their leaves and branches reach the pavement and very soon are crying out for pruning.
It would be sensible to have these trees pruned every season. They would grow again soon enough, giving us protection from the elements.
I take the opportunity to thank both the Senglea local council and the Environmental Landscaping Consortium for their action to have these trees pruned as now we have more of a fresh breeze and enjoy the daily shipping movements in the harbour.
