Real estate company Re/Max Malta marked its 10th anniversary with the launch of the Re/Max and Friends Foundation.

The company organised a two-day charity event for children in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund at Pembroke’s Park and Ride and hosted a cocktail reception at Fort Manoel.

The main attraction of the fun fair was a 23-metre hot air balloon featuring the company’s logo, which offered rides to over 150 children.

Other activities included bouncy castles, a mega slide, a bungee run, go karts and gladiator duels, face painting and balloon architecture.

Re/Max Malta chief operating officer Jeffrey Buttigieg said: “This is a dream come true for my brother and I together with the management team. Apart from setting up a foundation to enable us to donate proceeds to charity, we have managed to create a fun environment where children and families have enjoyed themselves.”

All proceeds raised during the fun fair were donated to President Marie-Louise Coleirio Preca during a reception at Manoel Island.

Around 1,200 people attended. Guests were entertained by This.co Band, Ira Losco, DJ Ian Lang and Hungarian DJ Seherezade.

Re/Max Malta CEO Kevin Buttigieg thanked all those who sought the services of the company over the past 10 years, saying the company will be opening two more offices in the coming weeks.

The foundation will receive a percentage from every sale, rental and event to support various charities.
