BORG. On August 2, at St Catherine’s Home, Attard, ANTOINETTE, née Bonnici, aged 71, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children Jason and his fiancée Dorien and Claudia, her brothers Mario and his wife Frances and Josef and his wife Rita, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be concelebrated on Tuesday at 8.30am at Pope Pius X parish church, Santa Luċija, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family would like to thank the Sisters and staff at St Catherine’s home for their support and dedication. On August 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, OLGA, née Sammut, aged 90, widow of Edward, formerly of Valletta and residing at Casa Antonia, Balzan, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons Vincent and his wife Angèle, Godwin and his wife Elizabeth, her grandchildren Simone and her husband Damian Vella Lenicker and Katia and her husband Reuben Mifsud, her great-grandchildren Rachel, Julian and Nigel, her sister Iris and her husband Robert Weatheritt, her sisters-in-law Marguerite and Valerie, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for Balzan parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am followed by interment at Santa Marija Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. The family appreciate the care given by the staff at Casa Antonia and at Mater Dei Hospital. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SAMMUT ALESSI. On July 31, CARMEL, known as ‘C’, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his daughters Eve and Wendy and her husband Sean, his grandson Len; his brothers Bernard and his wife Mary, Tony and his wife Carmen; his sisters-in-law Doris and her husband Oliver, Mary and her husband Henry, Connie and her husband Johnny and brother-in-law Henry and his wife Catherine, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be concelebrated on Wednesday at 2.30pm at St Helen’s Basilica, Birkirkara, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. VELLA. On August 1, at Mater Dei Hospital, CONNIE, widow of Joseph, of Valletta and residing at Casa Antonia, Balzan, aged 97, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Carmen, widow of Charles Gatt Baldacchino, Raymond and his wife Mary, Alex and his wife Lily, Marbeck and her husband Anthony Portelli, Vincent and his wife Mary Anne and Frank and his wife Louise, grandchildren and their respective spouses, great-grandchildren, her sister Violet Williams, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
