I refer to the letter by David Brincat Preca (The Sunday Times of Malta, July 20) in connection with parking around the Bank of Valletta St Paul’s Bay branch.

If the gentleman decided to go to the rear of the building where there is room to park, instead of blocking the road, he would have not got a parking ticket from the armed policeman, with whom he has taken offence. The reserved spot outside the bank (like every other bank) is reserved for armoured cash vans.

If more drivers in the St Paul’s Bay area were more considerate about the way they park their cars and observed common decency and respect for other road users and followed the rules of the road there would not be traffic and parking problems clogging the area.
