• Qala parish today celebrates the feast of St Joseph. A pontifical concelebrated Mass led by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will be said at 9am. The Precursur Band of Xewkija will play marches at 11.30am. Mgr Lawrence Xerri will lead solemn vespers at 6.30pm. The procession with the statue of the saint, led by Senglea archpriest Robin Camilleri, accompanied by the Ite ad Joseph band under the direction of Mark Gauci, starts at 7.20pm. The Mnarja Band will give a concert at the main square at 8.15pm. The procession ends with a Eucharistic celebration at 10.15pm.

• The 23rd edition of OASI Foundation’s annual open air festival Riflessi Sajfin will be held on Saturday, from 8pm onwards at Menqa, Marsalforn.

• An exhibition of paintings and drawings by Paul Stellini entitled ‘New Works’ will open from August 10 until September 5, 9am to 5.30pm, in the foyer of Il-Ħaġar Heart of Gozo museum in St George’s Square, Victoria.

• Masses at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary will be said today at 6.15, 8.30, 10 and 11.15am and 5pm, followed by the recital of the rosary and Eucharistic benediction.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Ta’ Hamet, on Saturday at 8.30pm,followed by Mass at midnight.
