Corinthia Hotels appointed international hotelier Jesper Bo Henriksen as general manager of Corinthia Hotel St Petersburg. The new role will see Henriksen overseeing the hotel’s day-to-day business operations.

Henriksen will work on implementing his belief that “anticipation and being proactive is key to luxury, otherwise you’re just like anybody else”.

He makes the move from the Radisson Royal Hotel in Moscow after a successful career spanning 34 years of hotel experience in nine cities worldwide. A hotelier through and through, Henriksen has worked his way up in the hospitality industry, starting as a bellboy in his native Denmark in the 1980s, and gradually progressing through a sales career path, arriving at his new post at the five-star Corinthia Hotel St Petersburg.

His enthusiasm to achieve a unique combination of historical flavour, modern infrastructure and world-class service in hotels embodies Corinthia’s spirit and his fundamental understanding of the hospitality industry ensures a hands-on approach.

During his time as general manager at the Radisson Royal Hotel in Moscow, Henriksen reconstructed the entire Talent Development department.

Throughout his career, Henriksen has gained experience worldwide, having worked in France, the United Arab Emirates and his native Denmark before becoming a general manager for the first time in 2002. Since then, he was been appointed general manager six times, working in cities such as Brussels, Paris, Johannesburg and Moscow.
