Young singers Federica Falzon and Gaia Cauchi will be taking part in this year’s edition of The Għaxaq Music Festival, a three-day event featuring some of the best vocal talent in Malta.

Organised by La Voix Academy, the concert will be supported by a 22-member live orchestra under the direction of Joseph Chircop with Moira Delia and Peter Carbonaro hosting.

Cauchi and Falzon are Malta's most predominant child performers. The two rose to fame earlier this year, with Cauchi winning the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and Falzon the RAI talent show Ti Lascio Una Canzone.

There is a sense of intrigue to the general genre of the concert, one which the organisers are promising to be semi-classical.

The artists will be joined by guest vocalists, including Davinia, Maxine and Ludwig Galea.

La Voix coach and soprano Gillian Attard says that she is particularly thrilled to have acquired the services of Vincenzo Carni, the male tenor who helped Falzon on her quest to win Ti Lascio Una Canzone. Falzon will also be supported by Marco Vito, a vocal coach.

Entrance to the concert is free with the exception of some seated areas, but all donations will go towards the Malta Community Chest Fund.

The Għaxaq Music Festival takes place between Wednesday and Friday and will be featuring various genres of music, aiming to target a diverse audience.

Federica, Gaia and Friends takes place on Thursday.
