The Sunday Times of Malta will tomorrow be publishing letters sent by a young Agatha Barbara to a Royal Navy officer in the 1940s that were recently discovered by his 74-year-old sister who lives in the UK.

The woman found the letters, written by the fledgling politician who eventually became President of Malta, while she was going through old albums that belonged to her late brother who was based in Malta in the 1940s.
