The bus serving route 15 goes from Valletta to Sliema where it changes to 225 and then passes through St Julian’s, San Ġwann, Naxxar, Mosta and Għajn Tuffieħa, ending at Golden Bay. On the return journey, when it arrives at Sliema Ferries it changes back to 15 to proceed to Valletta. Why the change of number? It only causes confusion.

I found this out after waiting for over one hour at Sliema Ferries for the 225 bus, letting those with number 15 go by and then reading the information in very small print on the notice board.

This bus goes to so many popular destinations that by the time it arrives at St Julian’s people are already standing.

Consequently, by the time it reaches San Ġwann it is like a cattle train and those wanting to go to Mosta or Naxxar, etc. have no hope of getting on.

We need more buses on this route. The other day, a group of 21 got on at St Julian’s and it was already standing room only.

On Monday, I waited for an hour at bus stop 1072 in mid-morning for the 225 to go to Naxxar and when a bus finally did come it just sailed past completely full. I had no alternative but to return home because I had missed my appointment in Naxxar. I was told that a bus had been missed out and this during peak time. The next day I set out again for Naxxar, got to the bus stop at 8am for the 8.07 bus and it did not turn up. The next bus arrived at 8.40, so another bus had been left out.

We need more, not fewer buses. San Ġwann is a very big town and is badly served.
