Paulino Schembri has been appointed chairman of the Institute of Tourism Studies board.

Mr Schembri is a graduate in food safety management from the University of Lancashire and is studying for a doctorate in the same subject focusing on the food service industry.

He has vast experience in teaching and supervision and has served in several roles and consultancies to ensure that food served by industry is of the highest standards. He is also a senior lecturer at the university.

The other board members are Carlo Micallef, Oscar Attard, Angela Attard Fenech, Adrian Grech Cumbo, Charles Martin, Michelle Muscat Portelli, Matthew Pace and Carmela Said.
