Goalkeeper Henry Bonello has sealed his loan switch from Sliema  Wanderers to Hibernians.

As reported by Times of Malta, Hibs had emerged as favourites to sign Bonello despite interest from Birkirkara in the former Malta U-21 goalkeeper.

Sliema and Hibs last week agreed to exchange Bonello for goalkeeper Daniel Balzan on loan for one year but the deal was only finalised this morning.
The two goalkeepers are expected to train for the first time with their new clubs this evening.

By joining Hibs, Bonello, 25, is following the footsteps of his father John who had a long and distinguished career with the Paolites.

Elsewhere, Premier League club Naxxar Lions have added another foreign player to their squad after signing Emenike Mbachu. The Nigerian  striker, who last played in Finland, is expected to sign a one-year contract this afternoon.
