CACHIA ZAMMIT. On July 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, Dr ALEXANDER (SANDY) CACHIA ZAMMIT, aged 89, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his beloved wife Doris née Martin, his children Kathryn and her husband John Gambin and John and his wife Daniela, his grandchildren Julian, Adrian, Alexander, Edward, Francesca, Richard and Andrew, his sisters Teresa and Margaret and his sisters-in-law Blanche, May, Terry, Rose and Connie, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be concelebrated on Saturday at 9.30am at St Catherine’s parish church, Żejtun. The funeral cortege will then proceed to St Gregory’s cemetery, Żejtun, accompanied by the Beland Band, of which he was president for the last 54 years. CALLUS. Suddenly, on July 29, at her residence in Pietà, PAULINE, aged 72, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her mother Catherine, her brothers Carmel and his wife Antoinette and Vincent and his wife Maria, her nephews and nieces Ivan and his wife Anne Marie, Marie-Louise and her husband Joseph Mangion, Ingrid and her husband Paul Demanuele, Kevin and his wife Lynn Mireille, their children, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday at 9am for Fatima Sanctuary, Guardamangia, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. FORMOSA KERR – Fr CHERUBIN, OSA, passed away suddenly on July 26 at Villanova Monastery, Pennsylvania, USA. He leaves to mourn his loss the Augustinian Community, his nephews and nieces, and his many friends in the US and Malta. Mass for the repose of his soul will be said at St Augustine parish church, Valletta on Sunday at 7.15pm.
