A boy, covered with blood, reacting after sustaining injuries following what activists said was an air strike at a site by forces loyal to Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad in Duma in eastern al-Ghouta, near Damascus, yesterday. The three-year civil war in Syria has already claimed more than 170,000 lives and the body count continues to rise, as Assad’s forces reportedly gain ground against the rebels, in their effort to reassert his grip on power.
