A newly-embelished school play area funded by the Vodafone Malta Foundation was inaugurated at the Guardian Angel Resource Centre in Ħamrun, including a set of sensory garden furniture, a set of adaptive swings and a modified basketball for students with special needs.

“Such equipment will have a beneficial impact on the youths with special needs and abilities, helping these individuals to interact more effectively with the world around them and just as important, making them happier,” said Gemma Mifsud Bonnici, chairman of the Vodafone Malta Foundation.

The Guardian Angel Resource Centre is a teaching and learning centre for full- and part-time secondary school students with special needs and abilities.

It provides access to 11 curriculum areas adapted to their individual needs.
