Mitch Winehouse, the father of late singer Amy, is to release another album which will raise money for the charity set up in his daughter’s memory.

Mitch − who released an album in 2011 in the months prior to her death − said she had helped to shape his new release But Beautiful, with songs they had chosen together which did not make it in his debut album. He said: “This is still the album that Amy helped me make. There were so many more songs that we could have done and here they are.”

The new album is to come out on September 29 and will come out on Amy’s label, Lioness Records. Mitch said of his work with the Amy Winehouse Foundation: “It’s something I can do that connects with Amy’s memory and raises money for what we believe in.

“Even now it’s very painful and emotional, but you just got to get on with it. If we don’t, no one else will do what we do. We don’t have the luxury of thinking we can stop. It’s not sexy, it’s people struggling with drug addiction, it’s homeless kids, people who don’t get a chance otherwise.”

He said performing helps him to feel close to his daughter.
