The ASA of Malta said last night that following an urgent council meeting at the Tal-Qroqq Complex, it was decided that all national competitions will resume with immediate effect.

Two matches from the top flight and one fixture from the First Division, originally scheduled for the past weekend, were called off late Friday after the ASA suspended all its competitions following ‘consistent incidents’ that had marred the local game so far this summer.

Tomorrow, Sirens Ritter Sport play Exiles Ferretti (18.45) and Valletta McDonald’s take on San Ġiljan Allcare Insurance (20.00).

The Otters Nivea-Ta’ Xbiex match from the First Division will now be played on Saturday, August 16.
