Metropolitan Archbishop of Minsk-Mohilev in Belarus Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz is a guest of Sannat parish for the feast of St Margaret being celebrated today in the village. He was last invited when the parish celebrated its centenary in 2004. The parish has been financially helping the archbishop to build Catholic churches in his diocese. Kondrusiewicz has met couples who this year are celebrating the 25th and 50th anniversary of their marriage, celebrated Masses for them and led an activity for children. He also met emigrants who visited Sannat for the feast and celebrated a baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation for their children. He is seen here being greeted by Mgr Alfred Xuereb, former secretary of Popes Benedict and Francis.
