Young Cavaliers Summer Clubs offer programmes of activities for children during summer full of fun, excitement and creativity.

Accepting children from ages three to 16, the clubs offer different programmes, including a drama club for children aged six to 12.

At the club, children are encouraged to create a script for a play from beginning to end, giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves in a chosen theme and learn about it in a profound and personal way.

Acting it out gives the children a great sense of ownership, while making the props allows self-expression.

An art club for the same age group includes the exploration of a number of art techniques using recycled materials, in a way which brings out a child’s creativity, leading to a final exhibition and show for parents.

A teen club is tailored for those who are a bit older and includes activities like sound production, gastronomy, light drawing and photography, shadow puppet theatre and drama.

The tiny tots club is available for children between three and five, keeping the toddlers active and creative by giving them a hands-on introduction to basic art using different materials, techniques, bold colours and textures to create work for their first exhibition.

Young Cavaliers Clubs takes place at St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity in Valletta. More information and applications can be found online, by calling Amanda Palmier on 2122 3216 or by sending an e-mail to schoolprogrammes@sjcav.org.
