Valletta Fund Services has been voted by the readers of two prestigious international financial publications as the Fund Administrator of the Year in Malta.

VFS, set up in October 2006, is a fully-owned subsidiary of Bank of Valletta, and is a specialist fund servicing organisation providing international asset managers with a suite of fund services to retail and alternative investment funds.

The first award was conferred by ACQ magazine, the leading monthly title for the global M&A marketplace which is distributed to over 31,000 selected individuals each month. The nomination process is an independent one with which the award winners are chosen by the industry itself.

The second award recognising VFS as Fund Administration Specialist Firm of the Year in Malta

The second award recognising VFS as Fund Administration Specialist Firm of the Year in Malta came through Corporate International magazine, which has a printed and electronic distribution of over 70,000 individuals each month.

Kenneth Farrugia, BOV chief officer fund services, said: “Our ability to provide a comprehensive suite of fund administration services through VFS in addition to a wide array of peripheral services such as general banking, payments, forex and custody through the bank, further strengthens our overall one-stop-shop servicing approach.”

Currently, VFS provides fund services to 131 investment funds managed by asset managers based in 14 EU and non-EU countries, with total assets under administration fast approaching $4 billion.
