This year’s edition of Evenings on Campus includes an eclectic schedule of film, music, drama, an event for children, another edition of Café Scientifique and stand-up comedy.

The programme of events is as follows:

Next Sunday

At 9pm on the Quadrangle, Msida Campus, Il-Properzju tal-Professur, a play about a professor of Latin and his passion for the language. Staged by the Malta Classics Association.

August 4

At 9pm on the Quadrangle, Le Havre, a film in French, with Maltese subtitles by Emanuela Vella, a student from the Department of Translation, Terminology and Interpreting Studies, supervised by Prof. Anthony Aquilina.

August 6 and 7

At 9pm on the Quadrangle, Akustika Dance Anthems. Nine musicians will be turning the most popular dance-floor fillers from the 1990s and noughties into acoustic hits.

August 8

At 9pm on the Quadrangle, A Short Punk Story. A fun evening with an on-screen presentation, music videos and a live performance by two local bands –nosnow/noalps and Clandestines. Organised by Chris Mallia and The AV Warehouse.

August 9

At 9pm in the KSU Common Room, Piano Film Music. A piano and vocal recital featuring original piano works for movies, by Tricia Dawn Williams on piano, accompanied by singer Eleanor Spiteri.

August 10

At 6pm in the KSU Common Room, Legends from the Middle Ages. An event for children with Malcolm Galea and Joseph Zammit from More or Less Theatre reading little-known stories from the past and acting them out.

At 8pm on the Quadrangle, The Science of Wine. Café Scientifique comes to Campus with Roger Aquilina.

August 14

At 9pm on the Quadrangle, Trap on Campus. A mix of jazz, funk and blues, playing mostly standards, with Trap’s own arrangements and some original tunes. Trap is Alan Portelli, Jes Psaila, Warren Galea and Manuel Pulis.

September 6

At 9pm at Valletta (venue to be announced), Stand Up Comedy featuring Steve Hili and friends.
