The Lithuanian Community in Malta was yesterday launched at the Qawra Access Centre.

The centre’s manager, Martin Chetcuti, said the fact that residents of different nationalities were coming together to participate in initiatives was beneficial to the rest of the community.

The centre will host some 30 training programmes from October led by the Directorate for Life Long Learning.

Applications will be available from https://lifelonglearning.gov.mt between August 18 and September 5.

Through these courses, education is being used as a tool for integration, Mr Chetcuti said in a statement.
