I have, for the past days, been trying to pay my Melita phone and internet bill. There is a login facility on Melita’s website, where one pays online. For whatever reason, this is not working and I am unable to pay through this facility. This is a minor headache, which I could live with. Surely customer service will help out.

I tried to call on different days, different hours. But I think I would grow a beard before anyone takes the call. I have also sent e-mails, asking Melita to help me give them my money. I haven’t heard from them. To add insult to injury, during the wait, Melita has had the cheek to cut my phone and internet service. I do not know if this is true but somebody told me that there is a fee that I will have to pay to get this back.

I neither have the time nor wish to go to a Melita outlet, nor to pay by cheque. All I want is access to a facility that, as a customer, I should be entitled to use.

Since e-mails and phones are left unanswered, I am crossing my fingers in the hope that someone from the administration reads this paper while going though their morning toast, pities me and allows me to pay them.
