Beppe Fenech Adami, the Nationalist Party’s deputy leader, is in the UK receiving medical attention.

The treatment the 45-year-old MP requires was extremely specialised and was not available in Malta, family members told Times of Malta. His condition had not yet been clini-cally confirmed.

“At the moment, Beppe is undergoing consultation and medical attention to determine the best way of successfully targeting his condition,” the Fenech Adami family said when contacted.

Dr Fenech Adami is the son of President Emeritus and former Prime Minister Eddie Fenech Adami.

The family was extremely appreciative of the support it was receiving from all quarters, including the President, the Prime Minister, the Speaker, the Nationalist Party and the Labour Party, among others.

“We’re confident he is receiving the best care so that he can return to his job in the shortest time possible,” the family said.
