The government has defended its record on the fight against corruption, after the PN criticised it for failing to appoint a new Permanent Commission Against Corruption.

Justice Minister Owen Bonnici said the government had moved three laws, on removal of prescription in corruption by politicians, the Whistleblower’s Act and on party financing.
