The Sisters of the Sacred Heart Society have passed on the Foundation of the Convent of the 111-year-old Sacred Heart School to the Archdiocese of Malta.
The foundation had been set up to run the school a few years ago as lack of vocations made the task increasingly difficult for the society.
Under the new agreement, the society allows the foundation free use of the school’s facilities.
The agreement will not affect the running of the school or its name.
The Curia said it was grateful for the service provided by the society for the past 111 years at the school.
