Birkirkara is invaded by churches, whose bells and clocks make noise at any time of day or night.

When I spoke to one senior member of the clergy about this problem, the reply I got was: “It is Church custom.” One of the parish priests suggested I should sue him. I wrote several e-mails to the police but have received no reply.

What am I to do? At times, mainly on Sundays, I even have to leave home when the bells start ringing.

Should we allow these bullies to take hold of our life and existence? We are not in the army so that once the parish priest wakes up the entire population has to do the same.

Why do the police not take action?

Why can’t I live at my home in peace and enjoy my own time as it pleases me rather than have parish priests insisting on telling me the time every 15 minutes?
