She’s wearing a frilly white dress, she has long black hair and holds a microphone in hand.

It is Eurovision winner Gaia Cauchi alright – only it’s the Lego version of her.

The 12-year-old singer was sent the photo of her Lego mini-doll by one of the Eurovision producers, kitted out in a similar outfit to the one she wore the night she won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev last November.

“I was so excited when I saw the photo: I love Lego, so this for me is really special,” Gaia told Times of Malta yesterday.

The doll is the work of a Swedish Junior Eurovision producer who in conjunction with Lego, creates mini-dolls of the winners and then produces a video with the Lego dolls.

“I will be in the 2014 version of the Lego video singing The Start,” said Gaia.

When she was sent the photo she laughed at the uncanny resemblance. “Even my hair is just the same!” She has been an avid Lego fan all her life but she does not have girl figurines in her collection of mini-dolls, which makes her own replica “even more special”

Gaia will be given the Lego doll in November when the Junior Eurovision will be held in Malta. “I can’t wait to hold it in my hands. These are lovely things. It’s these little souvenirs which will always keep great memories alive.”
