The annual rate of inflation in June as measured by the Retail Price Index stood at -0.1 per cent. During the corresponding period last year it stood at 1.58 per cent.

The largest downward impacts on annual inflation were brought about by the water, electricity, gas and fuels index (-0.62 percentage points), the transport and communications index (-0.26 percentage points) and the food index (-0.1 percentage points).

The main upward impacts were recorded in the recreation and culture index (0.31
percentage points), the beverages and tobacco index (0.24 percentage points) and the household equipment and house maintenance costs index (0.23 percentage points).

The 12-month moving average rate was 0.66 per cent.
