We all know how important an efficient public transport system is for tourism. I would like to suggest a change in bus route 101 and/or 102 that goes from Mellieħa to Golden Bay and then to Ġnejna.

It is ridiculous that the bus first passes from the Mellieħa Park and Ride, then goes to Santa Marija Estate (where the residents prob-ably never use buses), back to the Mellieħa Park and Ride and then to Golden Bay.

On the way back to Mellieħa drivers are obliged to waste half an hour going to Ġnejna, where there are rarely any passengers who wish to proceed to Golden Bay.

As a person who works in tourism and uses the bus frequently, I urge Transport Malta to consider changing the route. I suggest that the bus should depart from Popeye Village instead of Ċirkewwa, as there are many other buses departing from the latter.

It would make more sense to make the route shorter and more frequent from the Mellieħa Park and Ride and Golden Bay.

I can assure the transport authority that tourists, bus drivers and locals would very much appreciate it if this new route is changed into a more efficient one.
