Canespro is a new treatment for fungal nail infection from the makers of Canesten.
Comprising a urea ointment tube, a set of specially-designed plasters and a plastic nail scraper, it is effective in gradually removing infected parts of the nail in just two to three weeks.
Follow-up treatment with a general antifungal cream is recommended after treatment with Canespro.
When using Canespro, visible results are seen within a few days of application.
Fungal nail infections affect about four per cent of the adult population and about a quarter of people with diabetes. The infection is more common on toe nails than finger nails. Athlete’s foot infection and nail trauma significantly increase susceptibility to the infection.
