St Margaret College Primary School A, Żabbar, has installed a plumbing and water tank system to use secondary water for cleaning and flushing from an underlying reservoir. This was done with the help of the HSBC water programme Catch the Drop campaign.

Żabbar Primary A, one of Malta’s largest primary schools with over 500 pupils, will now benefit from lower utility bills.

Programme coordinator Glenn Bugeja said as a result of the campaign, schools are making better use of water. Apart from financial backing, HSBC volunteers also assist eco-school committees in school and community outreach programmes.
