More than three weeks have passed since my letter of June 24 about the double yellow lines stretching from Sliema Hotel up to block 66 at The Strand. But only on Sunday did a traffic policeman stop to do his duty.

It is a pity that many officers pass by daily and not one of them stops to see to it that cars parked on the double yellow lines are booked.

It would be appreciated if regular checks become the rule and not the exception.
