Popular Italian singer Claudio Baglioni has returned to Malta to join tenor Joseph Calleja in his concert on the granaries in Floriana tomorrow.

The two had met through a recording for Baglioni’s double album Q.P.G.A. and Balgioni said it was “an honour” for him to sing with Calleja.

Balgioni has been to Malta several times. In 2007 he accompanied Gianni Morandi and Riccardo Cocciante in Grand Harbour for a free concert aimed at boosting awareness of the migration problem in the Mediterranean.

In 2008 he recorded and released his version of the Maltese song "L-Aħħar Bidwi F'Wied il-Għasel" on the SONY/ BMG label.

Baglioni, X-Factor winner Leona Lewis, young Maltese singer Federica Falzon and internationally renowned bass baritone Bryn Terfel will accompany the Maltese tenor on stage.

Maestro Paul Bateman will be directing the National Orchestra.
