Valero: Spain midfielder Borja Valero has pledged his long-term future to Fiorentina by signing a five-year contract extension. The 29-year-old’s previous deal ex-pired this summer but the new agreement will keep him with the Florence club until June 2019.

Oblak: Benfica goalkeeper Jan Oblak has announced he is set to leave the Portuguese champions and sign for Atletico Madrid. The clubs are believed to have agreed a fee of around €16 million for the Slovenia international, who will replace Thibaut Courtois as the Primera Division champions’ first choice keeper.

Australia: Australia will play a friendly against Belgium in September as the Socceroos seek a testing warm-up ahead of next January’s Asian Cup on home soil. Ange Postecoglou’s team will face the Red Devils in Liege on Sept. 4.

Burnley: Premier League newcomers Burnley have signed striker Lukas Jutkiewicz from Middlesbrough. The 25-year-old joins for an undisclosed fee from the Championship side and has signed a three-year deal at Turf Moor. Jutkiewicz impressed during a loan spell at Bolton at the end of last season, scoring seven goals in 20 games.

Evian: Danish striker Nicki Bille Nielsen has left Norwegian side Rosenborg to join his cousin Daniel Wass at Ligue 1 club Evian. Nielsen follows in the footsteps of fellow Danes such as Wass, Christian Poulsen and goalkeeper Stephan Andersen, to represent the French club. Nielsen joined Rosenborg in January 2013.

Martins Indi: Netherlands defender Bruno Martins Indi has moved from Feyenoord Rotterdam to FC Porto on a four-year contract. No details of the deal for the 22-year-old, who help the Dutch national team to a third placed finish at the World Cup in Brazil last weekend, were announced. Martins Indi was born in Portugal to parents from Guinea Bissau but grew up in the Netherlands from an early age. He came through the junior ranks at the Rotterdam club to earn 22 caps for the country.
