I recently took several photos of the clock which is on the façade of St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta. These photos, I must say, surprised me.

I could see some traces of paintings on the main clock where there is the Latin inscription Clerici Invenit. Later, when I made more close-ups of the photos, I discovered that there are also some frescoes even on the frame of the clock and on the calendar clock at the side. It is a moot whether I call this a discovery.

These frescoes should be given their due importance and I wanted to share this experience with readers and all those interested in Maltese heritage.
