The 2013-14 Clubs League at the Marsa athletics ground came to a close recently.

A strong participation from all teams within the MAAA fold was reported this season as Pembroke Athleta secured the men’s and boys’ titles while St Patrick’s AC prevailed in the women’s category.

As has been a regular feature these last seasons, the league finished with a flourish and two new category benchmarks.

Bradley Mifsud (Pembroke) improved his national junior record in the javelin to 59.55m and Catriona Cuschieri (St Patrick’s) set a new mark in the discus for youths – 35.07m.
