“Whenever I throw a party for my son Ayden (five), I always make sure to prepare a little cupcake for each and every child at the party. When we come out with Ayden’s big cake, we hand each child a cupcake with a candle on it. In this way they all feel special, like it’s their day as well.”

“My two-year-old, Ben, loved his circus-themed party because it really captured everyone’s imagination and attention. We set up a big circus-style tent filled with a copious amount of balloons and organised traditional games such as pass the parcel. Party food and cake flowed smoothly and at the end we gave children a party bag to take home. Being a party planner at www.facebook.com/PartyPickz, I have become increasingly more aware of finding and executing the perfect recipe to ensure that all guests are kept fed, watered and most of all entertained. I believe that if you have all the necessary elements in place, you’re likely to succeed.”

“When you throw a kids’ party it should be at a reasonable time, not too late, and there should be good parking spaces, with easy accessibility for pushchairs and all that. The kids’ safety is paramount, so food allergies should be taken into serious consideration. In addition, a first-aider should always be on site and adequate supervision should be provided. If adults are invited to stay, there should also be something to keep them entertained. One thing which a lot of people forget is to put a disclaimer on the invites explaining that pictures of the children might be taken and put on social networks.”
