Children at St Thomas More College Żejtun Primary ‘A’ benefitted from an outdoor learning at Buskett when they took part in nature and maths trails, science fieldwork, crafts, fitness activities and traditional games that even parents grandparents could join in.

The pupils interviewed author Charles Casha with the help of support teacher Claire Camilleri-Oracy.

Jason Aloisio from Birdlife Malta conducted a walkabout tour of the woodland. An official from Malta Dairy Products delivered an presentation on the various daily products on the market.

A boys’ band from Ta’ Żokrija Secondary School, Mosta, and an adult dancing group from Żejtun kept the atmosphere lively.

Participants also enjoyed watching expert kite flying by a volunteer.

Birdlife, Nature Trust, Heritage Malta and Meusac contributed to the success of the event. Also taking part were pupils from Pietà Primary School and participants from from partner schools from five countries with which the school is involved in a Comenius project.
