Festa f’San Anton drew crowds to the President's Palace in Attard yesterday as the state rooms and private gardens were opened for public tours.

The feast, a 'celebration of the Maltese identity' was held to raise funds for the Community Chest Fund.

Entertainment was laid on in the private gards and San Anton gardens while stalls exhibited and sold Maltese traditional crafts and food. Entertainment was also laid on in the Kitchen Garden.
Guides in period costume showed the visitors around the palace while children played old Maltese games.The Community Chest Fund has monthly commitments of €200,000, €30,000 of which cover new cases of people in need of treatment like chemotherapy.

The festa continues today between 6pm and 11pm.
