A three-year-old boy was among four people injured in as many traffic accidents this morning.

The police said the boy was hit by a car driven by a 40 year old Bulgarian woman in St Paul's Bay at about 10.30am.

The incident took place in Mosta road. The circumstances are still being investigated. The boy was hospitalised.

Meanwhile, in Swieqi, an Italian couple were slightly injured when their motorcycle was involved in collision with a car on the coast road. The car was being driven by a 43 year old man from Pembroke. 

The police said another accident took place in Burmarrad Road, Burmarrad at about 11am. A Gozitan woman,20, who was driving a motorcycle, was injured in a collision with a car driven by a 24 year old man from St Paul’s Bay. The motorcyclist's condition is not known.

Half an hour later another incident took place in Marfa road, Ghadira when a woman lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a wall.
