Ambulance responders are being ordered not to fill in the ambulance check list except for oxygen bottles and not to wash the vehicles.

The General Workers’ Union said it was ordering the responders to take the action as from tomorrow because the government had still not increased the number of responders at Mater Dei.

The union noted that there were enough responders at Mater Dei and St Luke’s Hospital together to keep up with the work but the government was still using private drivers for the ambulances, rather than its own employees.
