After Kanye West’s tirades over the previous two nights, the 28-year-old Hawaiian crooner opted for a more sedate set, packed with pyrotechnic effects.
Opening with The Lazy Song, Mars − whose real name is Peter Hernandez − joked he brought the sun to Finsbury Park in north London, saying: “Finally gave you some sunshine so you can dance.”
Dressed in a black and white Hawaiian shirt, black pressed trousers and a straw hat, he performed hits including Treasure, Grenade, Just the Way You Are, Marry You and When I Was Your Man. He also did a mash-up of Billionaire with Aloe Blacc’s I Need a Dollar and combined his song Our First Time with Ginuwine’s Pony and R Kelly’s Ignition (Remix).
“It wasn’t too long when we were playing shows in small London venues like Koko,” he said before launching into a medley of tracks like Bell Biv DeVoe’s Poison, Michael Jackson’s hit Rock With You and Montell Jordan’s Get It On Tonight.

After ending his hour-long set with Just the Way You Are, Mars returned to perform an encore featuring Locked Out Of Heaven and Gorilla as fireworks ascended above the stage.
Outkast, Ellie Goulding and Salt-N-Pepa also took to the main stage, while Blurred Lines star Robin Thicke and La La La hitmaker Naughty Boy played at the other stages on the final day of the London festival, which previously saw Kanye West headlining.
