Very shortly after my letter about the pitiful state of roads in and to Nadur was published (‘A tale of two villages’, June 16), the main road leading to Qala was closed for resurfacing.
This was impressive, so far as it went – which was about 50 yards. Then, work stopped and the guys doing the job disappeared.
As a token gesture, it showed what could and can be done, where there is a will to do it.
What’s needed now is more will... in order to repair and resurface the roads in and to both Nadur and Qala.
