Jason Galea and George Galea, the two men charged with the murders of Mario Camilleri Snr, known as l-Imniehru and his son Mario, were this morning granted bail against a deposit of €30,000 and personal guarantee of another €30,000.

Mr Camilleri Snr was killed in Marsaxlokk last year while his 21-year-old son Mario Jnr was shot and stabbed 34 times in Qajjenza, Birżebbuġa, shortly afterwards.
They were found partly buried in a shallow grave at a field in Qajjenza.

Police inspector Fabian Fleri said there were 28 court experts and police officers left to testify in the case.

Magistrate Antonio Micallef Trigona noted that the case began a year ago, a number of sittings had been held and a good number of witnesses had already heard.
