A Detroit man has his car back - 33 years after someone stole it from a street in the US city.

George Talley, 71, was reunited with his 1979 Chevrolet Corvette at the world headquarters of General Motors in Detroit. He last saw his car in 1981 after parking it.

He was told his Corvette was sitting at a Mississippi police station and that it "was running, had 47,000 miles on it and was ready" for collection. GM offered to ship the car back to Detroit to be with "its rightful owner".
